The Company is an operator (acting on behalf, at the expense and on behalf of the subsoil user of JSC National Company KazMunayGas and LUKOIL Kazakhstan Upstream LLP) for the exploration and production of hydrocarbons at the Zhenis field located in the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea.

TASK
Conducting industrial environmental monitoring (IEM) at the Zhenis site in the middle part of the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea by climatic seasons from 2020 to 2022

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Environmental monitoring was carried out in accordance with the rules of the IEC, the EM program and included studies of: hydrometeorological parameters, atmospheric air quality, hydrological, hydrophysical and hydrochemical parameters of seawater, physical and chemical parameters of bottom sediments, microbiological studies of bottom sediments, hydrobiological and ichthyological studies, as well as observations of marine mammals and avifauna;
  • The studies were carried out by sampling environmental components of the Middle Caspian Sea, and subsequent laboratory tests;
  • The research results were presented in the form of an analytical report and cartographic materials.
